Nice to know that my most favourite FPS game is coming back. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released worldwide on 10th of November this year in all 3 major gaming platforms: MS Windows PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.
It will be the direct sequel to the previous Modern Warfare game and it utilizes a newer game engine compared to the prequel in which the AI is claimed to be more "dynamic" than it used to be. The graphics, to me, is somewhat identical to the previous game, but the current me won't give a damn about it as I wouldn't want my aging 8800GTS to spoil my fun in this game with jerky framerates.
Anyway, enough talk and take a look at this video gameplay. If you would like to, watch it in HD quality with full-screen (if your connection is superior enough, of course)
Not bad a preview I suppose. New weapons, new gadgets, new environment, new enemies...And look who's back. Nice to see an old friend who used to fight with us coming back...err mistake, we were him in the prequel. The then Sergeant has been promoted to a Captain! Gratz mate.
This time, they are going to bundle a night vision goggles(NVG) with the game in the "Prestige Edition" package:
Sounds cool right? But I don't think it's worth it. The package would cost us a bomb here @ USD150 (approx. RM500 to us), and according to people the NVG is just some low quality toy-grade NVG they can get from toy shops such as Toys"R"US. Yeah...an actual NVG could cost up to a million. But of course, that is just some limited edition item which doesn't have much practical use anyway, and collectors would most likely get their hands on one of those. I would if I had the money too..(and, if this piece of "military gear" is legal in Malaysia).
Anyway, I'm looking forward to get my hands on the game as soon as it is released. Kick ass game yo! I will be on my 2 months long semester break when it is released, gonna have some serious gaming sessions by then ^^. But for now, REVISE YOUR GODDAMN MATHS AND CHEMISTRY VINCENT.

MGS3 ending
Another post about games, hope no one's going to get bored. ><
Finally, we get to know that SPM 2008 results will be released on 12th of March, which is next Thursday. After the long waiting, I'm going to see how many subjects that I've failed in. Can't wait for that day to arrive as the waiting is killing me now.
To make the time "fly" faster, I've been concentrating on gaming(again), but not as excessive as last time, of course. Far Cry 2, the next-generation FPS PC game, is very tiring to play for long hours as compared to Maple Story. However, I've just finished this game recently, and I'm not feeling to keep on playing L4D or my ears will burst from gunfire. I came up with an idea: Youtube-ing.
If you're living in Malaysia I'm sure that you're familiar with this local telecommunications company called TMNUT, with their broadband serviced named SCREAMYX, offering "broadband" speeds as fast as a dial-up connection(for some people, or take it as an exaggeration. No offence!). Hooray!
Since it's that slow, buffering Youtube is a helluva task to carry out. A one-minute clip might take you more than 3 minutes before you can stream it smoothly. Given this situation, you can open the clip first, pause it, do something useful in your life while waiting for it to buffer completely, before watching it.
Suddenly I have the urge to watch MGS3 cutscenes to revise my understanding towards the story of the game. The best of all, it's the game's ending. I loved the ending the moment I watched it. This is one of the best endings, if not the best, for a game. Listening to the soundtrack while watching the movie just makes the ending feels so...dramatic. I havn't play MGS4 yet but in fact, I think MGS3 will be the best game in terms of storyline in the MGS series.
Here's the movie clip. You may watch it if you like it. Enjoy!
It's touching, well, at least for me, since I get touched rather easily. However, finished gameplay is recommended for the best experience ;p. Did you learn anything from this movie? Well let me share mine. I learnt that history can be altered by politics or some other factors. For example, The Boss should be remembered as a hero for her sacrifice but she was remembered as a war criminal in history instead due to the "special arrangements" made by the government.
I know this is fictional, but that doesn't eliminate the possibilities of this occurence in our world. I mean, imagine, what if the texts we read in our History textbooks aren't the actual events or facts but is altered instead? Who knows if we had been given false informations regarding history all these years without realising the truth? Well, only God knows..
Lastly, I would like to end my post with this famous Chinese idiom:

HYPOTHESIS
A player can be the Witch Hunter with one shotgun shell.
MATERIALS
Shotgun shells
APPARATUS
Auto shotgun (Benelli M4 Super 90 semi-automatic shotgun)
SPECIMEN
A daring player, The Witch
PROCEDURE
1. The game is set to "Advanced" difficulty. The experiment is conducted in a "controlled" environment where every wandering infected has been cleared. sv_cheats 1 is enabled followed by z_spawn witch. A Witch is spawned in front of me, while my AI mates are having fun bashing the hand rails on the tower. Flashlights are turned off.

2. The player has to move very close to the Witch, the range where the shotgun pellets have not dispersed widely. The crosshair is aimed at her head.

3. The Witch shall be shot in the head or anywhere near it before she could slash you into pieces, as long as every pellet from the shotgun shell hits her. For the best effect, kill her before she is startled.

4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 for as many times as you like to get an accurate result. For a more challenging environment, change the game difficulty to "Expert".
RESULT
Poor Witch. Owned by 1 shotgun shell. My life decreased due to the ambush by her lover(probably), The Hunter, as soon as I killed her, while my AI mates finally stopped having fun and came to save me. Results was not altered in any way though.CONCLUSION
The Witch can be killed with one shotgun shell while the player becomes the Witch Hunter, and completes the CROWND achievement. Hypothesis accepted. Period.
Hell yeah, that concludes the way of killing The Witch the easy but hard way, as well. I know you won't understand with just a few screenshots coupled with my noobish English, in addition to my cr@ppy experiment form. So I'm going to embed videos from Youtube so that anyone of you who would like to try this to have a clearer look at it.
If you would like to have a more "vulgar" version of video guide, here you go:
He didn't finish her quite the right way, but he got it as well. Never mind it, as I didn't post this video for this sole purpose. While watching this video, pay attention to the background speech. Seriously, I ROFL-ed when I heard that particular sentence.
Anyway, enjoy the killing and have fun beWitched ;)

What I learned from Left 4 Dead
Long post warning, 56K hostile ;)
I've been on Left 4 Dead for sometime now, and I've found out some thing that everybody should know regardless you play this game or not.

I didn't make this strip, obviously. Credits given to =Golden-Silver from deviantART. Here's the link to his post.
FYI this is the revamped version of his original creation. If you would like to have a look at his original creation, click here.
Hope you enjoy this cartoon strip and of course the game itself :D
By the way, am I destined to become a Hunter? I can say that I was athletic during my secondary school days especially at Form 4 and Form 5. Oh cool...
Vincent out.

My baby is back!
After months of waiting, finally my 8800GTS is back from RMA.
To let you all have an image of my problem when it got fried:

The craziest artefacts you could see! You judge the seriousness of the problem ;)
They have replaced a so-called new unit to me, but I doubted their claim as I still can see dusts on the fan @_@. And it takes 2 months just to replace a card? omg. Waiting for me to give up waiting and hope for me to buy a new card from them?
Anyway, this was one of the best cards Nvidia has to offer(3 years back), and I bought it in the wrongest time. The hell with it, I'm blatantly proud for owning this graphics card that costed more than RM1000. Here's some pics:(bear with my noob Nokia5300 1.3MP camera)

And there goes. All fired up. Enjoying L4D, probably the best multiplayer co-op game ever created in history. I'm not talking much now, gotta go have some fun after months of boring days ;)

Vincent is on a Mapling Spree!!
Yeah, as the title emphasized, I have been Mapling for at least 12 hours per day for nearly a week now, thanks to my failed job application attempt. This is the reason why I have not blogged even I had some crap to post = =. The server is having an urgent check right now so I got the time to blog. XD
Anyway, for the past week, I have been gooing to sleep very late, but actually it's early in the morning already...Things worsen everyday when I slept at 2am and waked at 11am at starting until today I slept at 4am and waked at 1am!
12pm~4am, that's 16 full bloody hours(no la, of course got rest one..) spent on MapleSEA! Hell, I'm unstoppable and surely has gone out of my mind. Now I'm behaving and looked like a zombie... Besides, my whole body is going to "rust" and die off if this could continue for a month. I can't recall the date when I last had an exercise. I think you readers can have an idea of how rusted I am through this post as well.
On the other hand, this intense gaming has resulted in my characters levelling up real fast, with the help of Christmas quests of course. My Warrior raised from LV10 until LV24 purely with Christmas quest whereas my LV14 Mage is raised to currently LV33 Cleric through potion spamming and Christmas quest! I have dedicated myself into MapleSEA so much that I have collected over 5000 Rascal snowpieces for the past 3 days, and used them to exchange for 1 Ice Chair for my Cleric and Assassin respectively, and a Warm Muffler(usable for 1 year) for my Cleric. Now that's what I call an accomplishment.
By the way I would like to thank my sponsor, Der Yaw a.k.a. Darren for all your support in MapleSEA all these time, either financial-wise or levelling guideline. You helped a lot, seriously.
Now then, I think I'm becoming god-like. I mean I really will become god(or ghost) if I continue to damage my body like this. My eyes are starting to fail me now, I can hear the scream of my liver(11pm~3am being the time for liver to rest). The only way to stop me from being god-like, is getting my 8800GTS back! And then I can get tired from those graphics-intense games so that I will sleep earlier! But now when on earth can I get that piece of hardware back?! >=(
To cut the crap short, the server check is over now, and I'm going to continue my Maple fever. =X
