The cactus

This story has to be traced back to a rainy day in the year 1997. A teacher gave a "bulb" of cactus as a hallux (thumb toe) to a few of her Standard One students. There was this one boy, who, is writing this passage now, was a recipient.

He started by planting the cactus in a small plastic vase. He took care of the plant pretty well (well, you can leave a cactus without much care for days and it won't die on you anyway). The cactus kept growing normally and it got a new home when it had the size of a child's fist.

Eventually, the cactus started budding more little cacti. Those little cacti repeated and continued the process of growth and budding like the old cactus experienced. At that time the irresponsible boy who started this had already succumbed to the games that made him what is him today. And so his loving mother took over the "custody" of the cacti.

Over time, the cacti grew so much that the boy couldn't recognize it. The once considerable big pot that housed the cacti couldn't support them anymore. It was too late to shift them into a bigger pot or the open land outside the house, but perhaps it might be a blessing in disguise as otherwise a land overgrown with cacti would be expected.

And now, it seems that this boy has a new hobby. The 'girls' he brought back (bought) seem to enjoy their time at the garden of the house managed by the mother. There is this girl named Azunyan who seems to like the cacti a lot.

Tickle tickle~ nya~! ♥

Will this place completely become their playground and live happily ever after? Well, who knows?
